Michael "Pedro" McGuire has been riding the trails and camping with his horses in Skull Shoals & Gowdesyville for the past twenty years. His love of horses and the area brought him back time and time again.
In the old days, the area was a crossroads of commerce. A cotton gin, which is no longer standing, was built on the property at the turn of the Century. Wagons brought their wares from cotton fields from all over Cherokee & Union Counties. The store building which was built around 1920 and sits at the intersection of Highways 105 & 211 has been a tradepost, a Post Office, a home, and today is our Bunk House.
The Barn, Event Center, and Campground were built around 1990. Michael's property management skills and Beth Lee, the resident Event Co-ordinator's love of decorating and entertaining have given birth to a business that focuses on your "Special Event".
They are committed to preserving the historical value of the land and buildings. This is a special place and they want all of their clients and guests to enjoy their visit.
